1. Basement can be in the East, North & North-East part of the house. North-East basement is economically beneficial.

2. Basement should not be in the South & West part of the house. If you have such a basement you can use it as a warehouse or store room.

3. Since basement does not get any sunlight, do not use it for auspicious rituals.

4. Do not use basement for housing purpose as it will cause severe physical and economical damage.

5. If 1 part of the basement is higher and sunlight enters into the basment, the remaining 75% can be used for business activity.

6. South-East basement can be used for restaurant purpose.

7. Roof of the basement should be at-least 9 feet above the ground.

8. White color should be used for the basement.
